FAQ

  • a. How long does it take for delivery?
    Hardwood Products – We begin the production once we receive your order. The timeline on manufacturing is maximum 6 weeks and the delivery is expected to take 5-7 days. Upholstered Products – The manufacturing of sofas and armchairs usually take 4 weeks and the delivery is expected to take 5-7 days. If the product gets ready before the schedule, we will notify you with a call or an email requesting a convenient delivery time. Note: Due to the current situation and partial lockdown, the delivery of our products might be delayed by a week or two. If there is any delay in the delivery time, we will inform you accordingly. We thank all of you who have trusted us and supported us in these unpredictable and difficult times and for being patient while the orders are being fulfilled.
  • b. If I place a large order, will it take the same amount of time?"
    As or furniture is handcrafted it is both labour and time intensive. Each piece requires its own time as they are not made in an assembly line system. We respect the time our karigars need to create a quality product and do not force them to work faster. So if your order exceeds Rs. 4,00,000, we suggest you speak with our customer care to get a tentative timeline on your order as it could take more time, depending on the production load.
  • c. Is the delivery free or do I have to pay for it?
    We provide free delivery to major metro cities of India but for smaller cities we might charge a small delivery fee.
  • d. How will I know that you’ve received my order?
    After you have placed your order, you will get the confirmation page on your screen and an email will be sent to your registered email id with the details. In case you don’t get the confirmation email, please call us on +91 9321458799, Monday-Saturday (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM) or drop us an email at info@meublecraftsman.co. You will get a subsequent email(s) after your order has been processed and shipped with the tracking information (if available).
  • e. How can I change my shipping address after placing my order?
    You will have to contact our customer service centre on +91 9321458799, Monday-Saturday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM or drop us an email at info@meublecraftsman.co. We will try our best to help you with the change of address.
  • f. My items haven’t arrived yet. What can I do?
    Our estimated delivery time is about 7-10 days for ready items and 6-7 weeks for customized products to get delivered at your doorstep.   • g. How do you pack the furniture pieces?
    We secure most of our crafted pieces in wooden crates to keep them safe during the transit and multiple handlings. Though the crates amount to bulky packaging and can be inconvenient, they are absolutely necessary to secure your furniture pieces properly. You should open the packages by yourself or with the help of a local carpenter or a professional and inspect them. If there is any defect or damage, you must report it to the delivery person or our customer care number +91 9321458799, Monday-Saturday (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM) or drop us an email at info@meublecraftsman.co immediately. Describe the defect or damage on the challan or Proof of Delivery (POD). Please note that our delivery personnel is not authorized to open the packages. Also, their duty is to just deliver the goods, they are not directly employed with Meuble Craftsman Co. We request you to cooperate with them and not force them to open the crates or packages.
  • h. Can my order be shipped through a specific courier company?
    No, we have tie-ups with reputed shipping companies to ensure fast and safe delivery of your order. We choose the logistic partners depending on various factors like their service availability, prompt delivery, etc.
  • i. My shipment shows delivered but I have not received the order?
    We request you to please check if someone else has accepted your delivery on behalf of you like family members, neighbours, security, the mailroom, reception or anyone else. If you are not able to track the whereabouts of the item, please contact our customer care service team and we will assist you.
  • a. By when I will receive the Ready to Ship products?
    The shipping timeline provided for all our products tagged as ‘Ready to Ship’ (only) will have an expedited shipping timeline of 7-10 days (an estimation only).
  • b. Is the delivery of Ready to Ship products guaranteed in 10 days?
    We do our best to deliver all the orders within the expected delivery date. However, sometimes, it might take us longer than expected to deliver your products. The shipping timeline for all our products tagged ‘Ready to Ship’ (only) will have an expedited shipping timeline of 7-10 days (an estimation only); shipment timing may vary depending upon the production and logistics schedule. Some unforeseen circumstances may lead to delays as well.
  • a. Can I cancel my order?
    You are only able to cancel the ready products if they are not shipped yet. For items like sofas and other hardwood furniture which has to be customised, the order cannot be cancelled. We do not have a ‘Change of Heart’ cancellation policy. But in cases where you receive a damaged or defective piece, we can offer a refund or replacement for the item.
  • b. What is your Refund or Replacement Policy?
    Our Repairs Policy will be applied to clients who have reported damage to their Meuble Craftsman Co product. When customers report damage (post using the product) it will be covered under the Repairs Policy; we offer a warranty of 1 year on the products post-delivery and any manufacturing defects that are not evident to man-made damages, will be repaired free of cost. Meuble Craftsman Co provides One Year Limited Warranty on manufacturing defects. Please keep receipt of your purchase for warranty claims. Here are some terms and conditions for the Limited Product Warranty – Furniture pieces shipped to and for use in the India only warrants customers one year warranty from delivery and they can redeem it for defects in material and workmanship if properly stored, handled, assembled, maintained, and used under normal conditions in a non-commercial setting. Defects are defined as imperfection in material or wooden frame that will impair the use of the furniture pieces.
  • c. What if the packaging of the furniture piece is damaged upon arrival?
    Upon delivery, if you discover that the packaging of the item has been opened or damaged, please do not accept the package. You can open the package in front of the courier delivery person and mention the damage, if any, on the Air Waybill and immediately notify our customer care team. We will either get it repaired onsite or send a replacement product, depending on your preference and product availability. Please note that the delivery personnel is not obliged or authorized to open the furniture or packages. Please note that their duty is to deliver the goods to the customers and are not directly employed with Meuble Craftsman Co. We request you to cooperate with them and not force them to open the crates, packages etc.
  • d. What is your Repair Policy?
    Our Repairs Policy will be applied to clients who have reported damage to their Meuble Craftsman Co product. When customers report damage (post using the product) it will be covered under the Repairs Policy; we offer a warranty of 1 year on the products post-delivery and any manufacturing defects that are not evident to man-made damages, will be repaired free of cost.     Our One Year Warranty product warranty does not cover the following: Any defects which are caused by improper product storage, handling, assembly, maintenance or use Defects which are occurred to the goods after the purchase due to product modification, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse, or negligence Any normal product wear and tear due to age including wearing or staining or loosening of fabric or leather or any such material. Normal wear and tear or damage from daily use is not warranted—for example, fabrics and leathers may naturally fade or deteriorate over time, and cushion cores may soften and lose shape. These are normal conditions that are not considered manufacturers’ defects and are not covered under our warranty. Other exclusions include: Labour or assembly costs Variations in the colour or texture of the goods made of natural materials like fabric, leather, wood, etc. Fabric and leather are not covered by any warranty. Buttons on tufted products covered with fabric/ leather are also not covered under warranty because we do not exercise any control over the usage of these products. Commercial use of any goods (e.g., in a commercial establishment or other settings outside of a personal residential setting).
  • f. What happens when the furniture piece is out of warranty and damaged?
    If the furniture piece is out of warranty, it will be your responsibility to pay for all the costs, including shipping, packing the material and the refurbishment cost.
  • g. What happens when the furniture piece is in warranty and damaged?
    If the furniture piece is within warranty and falls under manufacturing damages or defects, we will arrange to have the furniture piece repaired and refurbished within 7 to 10 days.
  • h. I don’t want a refund for the furniture piece, can you send me a replacement?"
    Due to the current situation, we currently do not offer a replacement for the ordered items. Only in cases of any damage or defects, we may offer a replacement.
  • a. When is the new product(s) is listed on your website?
    We frequently keep updating our product range, so we invite you to frequently visit our website to stay updated. You can also subscribe to our Newsletter and promotions and we will send you regular updates about our products and promotions via email or SMS. You can also follow us on our Social Media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ etc.
  • b. What is not covered under your warranty?
    Our One Year Warranty product warranty does not cover the following: Any defects which are caused by improper product storage, handling, assembly, maintenance or use Defects which are occurred to the goods after the purchase due to product modification, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse, or negligence Any normal product wear and tear due to age including wearing or staining or loosening of fabric or leather or any such material.   • c. Do you offer a warranty on your product(s)?
    Yes, we provide One Year Limited Warranty on manufacturing defects. We request you to keep the receipt of your purchase to claim the warranty. Here are some terms and conditions which come with the one year limited warranty. Only the goods shipped to and for use in India warrants to the customers that the goods are free of material defects in material and workmanship for one year from delivery if properly stored, handled, assembled, maintained and used under normal conditions in a non-commercial setting. Defects are defined as imperfection in the material or wooden frame that will impair the use of the particular piece. Our product warranty does not cover: 1. Defects caused by improper product storage, handling, assembly, maintenance or use. 2. Defects occurring to the furniture pieces after purchase due to product modification, intentional damage, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence. 3. Normal product wear and tear due to age including wearing or staining or loosening of fabric or leather or any such material and due to daily use is not warranted—for example, fabrics and leathers may naturally fade or deteriorate over time and cushion cores may soften and lose shape. 4. Labour or assembly costs 5. Variations of colour or texture in the furniture pieces made of natural materials like fabric, leather, wood etc. Fabric, leather and buttons on tufted products covered with fabric/ leather are also not covered under warranty as we do not have any control over the usage of these products. 6. Commercial use of any furniture pieces like in a commercial establishment or other settings outside of a personal residential setting. If customers find a material defect in the material or workmanship in any part or component, they must report such defects within the relevant warranty period to Meuble Craftsman Co Customer Service on info@meublecraftsman.co. When we replace or repair the furniture piece, it does not extend its warranty period beyond the original warranty expiration date. All Meuble Craftsman Co Product warranties are limited warranties and are limited to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Replacement furniture will be of equal value to the original purchase price. No cash refund is available and in no case shall we be liable for more than the purchase price of the furniture or incidental or consequential damages. Visible defects and variance to order details must be brought to our attention within 7 (SEVEN) days of delivery. Issues not presented within 7 days of delivery will be considered “acceptable” and will not be warranted.
  • d. Are the buttons on the sofa covered under warranty?
    Buttons on sofas in tufted and non-tufted style, covered with fabric/leather are also not covered under warranty as we do not have any control over the usage of these products. For example, children may pull/ peel the buttons. We request you to take special care of buttoned styles as any damage caused to the buttons will not be covered under the product warranty. If you feel it is difficult to maintain the buttoned style, please speak to our customer care and request to get the buttons removed.
  • a. If I need personal assistance with my order, who should I contact?"

  • b. What type of payment modes do you accept?
    We accept the following types of payments: Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking, Bank Transfer, Cheque Payment and Cash Deposit. But due to the current situation, we are not offering the Cash on Delivery (COD) option for now.
  • c. Are the prices tax inclusive?
    Yes, all the prices shown on the website are inclusive of taxes.
  • d. Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?
    Absolutely! Shopping with Meuble Craftsman Co is completely safe. We strive to ensure that every credit card transaction occurs within a secure environment. We do not retain your credit card information after your order is complete, rather it is directly submitted to our banks.
  • e. What should I keep handy for my online transaction?
    Credit Card: You need your card, which has the details of the cardholder’s name, card number, CVV and expiry date. Apart from this, you will also need to have your 3D secure password/OAC/OTP. Debit Card: Keep your card, which has the details of the cardholder’s name, card number, CVV and expiry date. You will be redirected to the bank site for 3D secure authorization. So, keep your OAC/OTP or IPIN handy as well. Net Banking: Keep your account number or Customer ID as well as your IPIN/ OTP handy.
  • a. How much GST applies to your products?
    GST rates vary from product to product. As per the current GST schedule, 18% GST applies to all furniture and leather goods.
  • b. Is the GST included in the price?
    Yes, all prices shown on the website are inclusive of GST.
  • a. Can I customize furniture items before placing an order?
    Customization is possible in upholstered products and for other furniture pieces only. You can find these options on our website on the Custom Crafted page. For example, you can choose different sizes, finishes, fabrics, etc. for the sofas.
  • b. Is it possible to change the polish of furniture items?
    Yes, it is possible to change the polish or finish of the furniture. Post getting a confirmation on your order, kindly send us an image of the desired polish shade.
  • c. Will I have to assemble the furniture by myself?
    Most items on Meuble Craftsman Co do not require assembly or have a basic assembly procedure that can be done with simple tools (like a screwdriver) and comes with assembly instructions. The need to assemble the furniture depends on the nature of the item. We currently do not provide assembly service anywhere. However, we send detailed assembly instructions, if required, along with the package, and the furniture pieces can easily be assembled by you or with the help of a local carpenter.
  • d. How can I feel the fabrics/ leather in person before placing my final order?
    You can now order the fabric or leather swatches at a nominal charge. Just select the fabric swatches you like from the options available on the product page and select Add to Cart and make the payment. We will ship the swatches to you by the first available courier and you can touch and feel the fabric/ leather or match the same with the rest of your decor before placing the final order for your furniture piece.
  • e. Will the products be the same as they look on your website?
    All our products shown on the website are real products and not digital renditions. We try and show the products as close as possible to reality but sometimes due to lighting, screen calibrations, fabric or leather, lot of variations, the products you receive may be a bit different. This is also due to the fact that our products are handcrafted in nature and may vary slightly from time to time. We also suggest you order fabric swatches before ordering your final furniture pieces to be sure of the colours as the colours may look different on screen than in reality.
  • a. Can I give any fabric for the Bespoke Service?
    You can give any upholstery weight fabric to us for the sofas. However, there are some limitations like the patterns/ prints/ stripes cannot be used for tufted areas/ styles, the weight of the fabric cannot be too light for upholstery as the fabric might sag after usage and there should not be any stretch content in the fabric.
  • b. How much time will it take to deliver the Bespoke Sofa?
    We generally take 6 weeks to deliver your sofa and 8 weeks to deliver beds once the order is confirmed. To keep this schedule, we should receive your fabric within 10 days from the payment confirmation date otherwise it may lead to delays in the delivery of your furniture pieces.
  • c. How do I send the swatch and fabric to you?
    For the swatch, send us a minimum size of 4” x 4” in an envelope to our address: Meuble Craftsman Co, Mumbai: Unit No- 2A/2B, 2nd Floor, Building No- 11/12, Raghuvanshi Mill Compound, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel (W), Mumbai- 400013. Once the swatch is approved, we will respond to you over an email with the required quantity of the fabric and you can place your order. Once the order is placed, please send the fabric to the above address by courier.
  • d. How much time will you take to respond for approving the fabric swatch?
    Once we get the fabric, we typically require 2 working days to respond if the fabric is OK for upholstery.
  • e. How much fabric is required for making the sofa?
    This depends on the size and the design of the sofa. Once you let us know the size and the style required, our merchandising team will give the requirement of the fabric.
  • f. Do you provide a warranty on Bespoke products?
    We provide One Year Limited Warranty on manufacturing defects. Standard Warranty applies here. However, normal product wear and tear due to age including wearing or staining or loosening of fabric or leather or any such material or daily use is not warranted—for example, fabrics and leathers may naturally fade or deteriorate over time and cushion cores may soften and lose shape. These are normal conditions and are not considered as manufacturers’ defects and are not covered under our warranty.
